TD Bank Group helps turn the Friends of Ruby house into a Home
A Home Like No Other
A heartfelt thank you goes out to TD Bank Group for their three-year pledge of $255,000, supporting the critical programming and operations at the Friends of Ruby Home!
The funding will go to our mental health and life-skills programming, tailored to the needs of LGBTQI2S youth aged 16-29. Our one-of-a-kind mental health model is geared towards supporting young people on every step of their journeys towards independence.
Together, with TD, we believe affordable housing is an integral part of financial security. This includes investing in mental health services and partnering with community organizations, like ours, that help people find a place to live.
Through the TD Ready Commitment, the Bank’s global corporate citizenship platform, we’re helping LGBTQI2S youth get the support they need to build their lives and find a secure and safe home.
Our History with TD
From our foundation, the TD team has been a proud supporter and champion, sharing our vision of a Canada where all LGBTQI2S youth are validated and empowered. Their support of this vision runs deep.
TD staff have rolled up their sleeves as volunteers, dedicating their time in the kitchen, providing financial literacy training, supporting our website and communications development as well as donating computers.
This generous gift moves us one step closer to a world in which no LGBTQI2S youth have to face homelessness due to their sexual orientation or gender identity. Thank you!
