Are you a business or an organization that wants to improve 2SLGBTQIA+ youth mental health and reduce the cycle of youth homelessness?
At Friends of Ruby, we have created several unique opportunities to help organizations increase the impact and success of their fundraising efforts to support the 2SLGBTQIA+ youth. This includes everything to activate sponsorships, in-kind donations, skills development training, volunteering, and team fundraising initiatives.
This year, Friends of Ruby was chosen for one of the honoured positions as Charity of Choice for Pride Toronto 2023 commemorations (read the blog post). In celebration of this recognition, we are launching our Pride fundraising initiative, Momentum for 2SLGBTQIA+ Youth Mental Health.
We have set a bold yet necessary goal of raising $1 million by December 31, 2023. All donations raised during this initiative will expand Friends of Ruby’s mental health supports and develop and launch innovative programs to support 2SLGBTQIA+ youth in need.
In the words of former Friends of Ruby Home youth resident, EJ,
“It’s amazing what people coming together can do.”
Help Us Celebrate Toronto PRIDE 2023 by Volunteering
Pride is less than a month away and we have a lot to celebrate this year!
With Pride Toronto honoring Friends of Ruby for everything we do to support 2SLGBTQIA+ youth as a Charity of Choice, we have several opportunities to celebrate all the work we do, including connecting with more 2SLBGTQIA+ youth who have never heard of us.
Friends of Ruby needs volunteer to support us at our Pride booth during the 3-day Street Fair from Friday, June 23 until Sunday, June 25. To support Friends of Ruby during Pride, volunteers must register by Friday, May 26 and attend mandatory training during the first two weeks of June.
